Each story should range from 2,000 to 2,500 words, must be original (not previously published) and should include a crisp and creative title. 


These need to be your stories in the fullest sense, rather than mere testimonies. Put emphasis on the feelings experienced. Do not be afraid to point out the negative or the challenging aspects of your adoption journey. The most important thing is to be honest. Your story needs to be descriptive, rooted in time and place, with compelling details that describe the real and raw emotions you endured during your adoption journey.  

VERY IMPORTANT: 

• Please attach manuscripts to an e-mail in Word (.doc, not .docx), or rtf format. 
  
• In the subject line of your email submission, please type your name and your title. 
  
• Include the Release Form when submitting your manuscript. 
• The header of your submission should include your name {as you would like it to appear in the book}, your street address, phone number, email address and a personal bio update of 30 words or less.

In January 2014, we will begin notifying authors of manuscripts that make the cut. In the meantime we ask for your patience. 

All rights will be held by the authors and publisher until the book is declared out of print. In addition you will receive a free copy of the book upon completion of the publication in compensation for your work.
